Dear Parents, Students, and Families,
We enjoyed our first school-wide celebration, an ice cream sundae social, on Monday afternoon in recognition of our students’ excellent job following our HR3 expectations in the first 2 weeks of school. Thank you to Ms. Elaine, and her kitchen helpers Amy and Sue, for scooping ice cream for all our smiling students!
I want to remind parents that we will be holding our first Parent Education workshop at FCS on Thursday, September 23rd from 6-7PM. The topic for this first workshop will be a more detailed presentation on PBiS, our new school-wide approach to improving social and academic competence for all students. We know there are parents who have questions, especially parents of middle level students. This will be a great opportunity to ask questions and learn more about our Fairfield system.
A couple reminders...
- There will be no school for students on Friday, September 24th.
- If you grocery shop at the St. Albans Hannaford store, please place your “Hannaford Dollars for Schools” coupons/receipts in the Fairfield collection container near the customer service desk. If you shop at other Hannaford stores, you can bring your coupons to Mrs. Howrigan here at school. Also, Mrs. Hale is collecting Box Tops for Schools and Campbell’s Soup labels, and Mrs. Larose is collecting silver soda tabs for the Shriners Hospitals. Thank you for your participation!
