Dear Families,
We held our annual Fairfield Center School Thanksgiving dinner food pass-along today. Students lined the hallways to pass bags of stuffing, cans of vegetables, cranberry sauce, gravy, aluminum roasting pans, and turkeys to each other and out the door onto a bus. Mr. Stebbins, student government representatives, and I rode to the Fairfield Community Center to donate the food, and helped to pack over 40 boxes of Thanksgiving meals for families in need. The Community Center staff will be gathering more boxes to pack the rest of the food that was contributed by our students and families. Thank you to everyone who helped with this school-wide community service project!
Last night, the dedicated ladies in the cafeteria, with several friendly helpers, decorated adorable turkey cupcakes for our Thanksgiving meal today. It was wonderful to see so many parents and family members come to school to share this meal with us. This school community is very special, and events like the ones we shared today are traditions to treasure and to be proud of.
With admiration,
Mrs. Wood
