Dear Parents and Families,
Happy February! I have a few quick notes for you this week.
The Big Change Round-Up: Our middle school Student Government is participating in the Big Change Round-Up for Kids, a fundraising activity benefiting Vermont Children’s Hospital at Fletcher Allen Health Care. Through this program children from Vermont, New York, and New Hampshire will show support for patients and families at Vermont Children’s Hospital. We will be placing collection bins in each homeroom at school. Please donate any spare change available knowing every coin counts. The Fairfield Center Student Government thanks you for your support!
PTO news: At our last PTO meeting, there was some great brainstorming going on. One of the ideas we generated was to have a parent night at FCS at which we could have several different workshops offered for parents. One workshop would be an informational session regarding our 2010 NECAP results. Other workshop topics we discussed included kids and technology, health issues, and PBiS. If you have a suggestion for a workshop topic, or would be interested in facilitating a workshop, please let me know. The Fairfield Center School PTO meets on the second Tuesday evening of the month at 6:30 in the library.
Spring Parent Conferences: Our spring parent conferences will take place in March. We will be sending more information home after the winter break. Evening conferences will be scheduled for Wednesday, March 16th. We will also hold conferences during the day on Friday, March 18th.
Reminder: There is no school this Friday, February 4th, due to teacher in-service.
