On Thursday, our entire student body and staff participated in a "book brigade." As you know, the community library is getting closer every day to moving into their beautiful new building just down the way. When Kristen Hughes approached me last week about gathering all of our kids to help with moving the books from the current space to the new building, I knew our faculty would jump on board with the idea. Like our Thanksgiving food pass-along that is a November tradition here at FCS, our kids and teachers formed a line from the reading room in the school out the computer lab down the road all the way into the new building. We passed the books along this line to one another ending with Kristen in the new library where she placed each book on the new library shelves.
It was a wonderful demonstration of community, partnership, service, and connections, and the sun was shining the entire time.
Thank you to Barry Fauteux for the excellent photograph!
