Dear Parents and Students,
What a wonderful first week of school! I am so proud of all of our students for doing a
truly terrific job following our school expectations which we are calling HR3:
Be Honest. Be Respectful. Be Responsible. Be Ready to Learn!
In early August, a team of Fairfield educators attended a 3-day training in Positive
Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBiS). We look forward to sharing our Fairfield system with
all parents and families at our Open House next Thursday, September 2nd , which will begin at
6PM. We hope you will be able to come visit your child's classrooms from 6-6:30 and join us in a
school-wide PBiS presentation at 6:30. Student Government representatives will be leading this
presentation.
We wanted to bring your attention to breakfast and lunch prices for the 2010-2011 school
year. The paperwork that was sent home on the first day of school listed incorrect prices for
meals. Lunch Prices will remain at $1.80 for students this year. Breakfast for students will be
$1.00. If you qualify for reduced price lunches breakfast is free. Prices were corrected on the
second day of school; we are sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused, and thank you
for your support.
A few more reminders as we head into the last weekend of August:
- There will be No School on Labor Day September 6th
- Picture Day is September 15th
- Our Middle School Magazine Drive begins September 3rd
- Field trip news: Grades 1,2,3 will be going to the Fair September 3rd
Thank you for all of your kindness and support in getting our year off to a great start. Have a
wonderful weekend, and we hope to see you Thursday night, September 2nd at 6:00PM for our all
school Open House!
